It is simpler than the comparison suggests: if you want a specific thing and you see it at a price you have verified is good, buy it. Waiting three days to save a small amount is not a strategy; it is a way to miss stock on the one item you actually wanted.
Conversely, if you are browsing rather than shopping, waiting until Monday costs you nothing and gives you three more days of price history to look at.
